Milliways.

The cinema at the end of the universe.

The fifth 42.audio series: a complete home cinema system from the front stage to the height channels, built with the same depth of manufacturing as our stereo loudspeakers. No lifestyle compromise, no soundbar logic — eleven channels that sound like one.

The principle

Eleven channels, one voice.

A home cinema only sounds seamless when every channel speaks the same way. That is why we don't build five different loudspeakers, but one system with one principle.

01

Coaxial at every position

Treble and midrange come from a single point. The same driver and the same dispersion at the front, the sides and the ceiling — voices move through the room without changing colour, and the whole row of seats hears the same thing.

02

One cabinet, any position

The cabinet looks the same when turned by 90°. So the centre is the very same box as left and right — no horizontal centre with two woofers that creates cancellations exactly at seating height.

03

All movement in the mount

Floor stand, screen rail, wall bracket, ceiling flange: everything docks onto the same flange. The cable runs through the centre and stays invisible in every position.

Bass comes first

Disaster Area 21 & 24.

Named after the loudest band in the galaxy. Milliways starts with them: two sealed subwoofers with 21- and 24-inch drivers from the latest professional generation — cone areas you would otherwise only find on big stages.

Why sealed? In a living room, level isn't the problem — the room is. A sealed sub reaches cleanly below 20 Hz, has the best time-domain behaviour and can be spread out in pairs or fours — several subs tame room modes more effectively than any filter.

The system

7.1.4 — all driven from one rack.

Three channels at the front, four around you, four on the ceiling, plus one to four subwoofers. Amplification and room correction sit centrally in one rack — nobody needs a power socket on the ceiling.
