Beyma 15CMV2: 15" midrange with 97 dB for the lower mids and midband
With the 15CMV2 Beyma offers a 15" midrange driver from the CMV series that handles 350 W AES and reaches 97 dB sensitivity. The frequency range of 50 to 4,000 Hz makes the purpose clear: not deep bass, but a strong, efficient lower-mid and midband as needed by guitar cabinets, stage monitors and 2-way PA tops.
The light cone is the notable feature: 38 g Mms on 880 cm² of area, driven by a 3" voice coil with a BL of 10.2 Tm. This gives a Qts of 0.49 and a Qms of 4.5, a fairly softly tuned system with Fs at 49 Hz. The mounting depth of 138 mm is shallow for a 15" driver, and the weight is 6 kg.
Use and enclosure
