The Beyma 15MCB700 from the MCB series is a 15" midrange driver with 700 W AES, 99 dB sensitivity and a 3" voice coil. At 8 kg it is the heaviest driver in this group, and the weight sits in the motor: a BL of 20 Tm on 96 g Mms gives a Qes of 0.36 and a Qts of 0.34. The frequency range starts at 45 Hz and ends at 4,000 Hz.
Compared with the neodymium versions of the MC range, the 15MCB700 is the choice for fixed installations where weight is irrelevant but power handling is not. Fs 44 Hz, Vas 148 l and an EBP of 122 describe a driver that delivers real lower-end output in a bass-reflex box and still plays cleanly into the mids. Xmax is 7 mm.
Use and enclosure
