If you are looking for a 1.4" compression driver with a ferrite motor that does not give up in the midrange at the first sign of demand, Beyma's answer is the CD-2514Fe. The /PT version carries the PT diaphragm on a 2.5" voice coil; power handling 80 W AES, nominal impedance 8 Ω, working range 600 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The motor produces a BL of 6.3 Tm and the whole unit weighs 3.5 kg.
Within the CD-2514 family, the Fe/PT is the ferrite-based middle ground: the same power handling and bandwidth as the PK and Ti versions, the same 62.7 mm mounting depth.
