Beyma CD-2514Fe/Ti: 1.4" compression driver with titanium diaphragm and 2.5" coil
In compression driver design, titanium is the diaphragm material for those who value stiffness and level reserve over the last degree of treble smoothness. In the Beyma CD-2514Fe/Ti, such a titanium diaphragm sits on a 2.5" voice coil in a ferrite motor with a BL of 6.3 Tm. The 1.4" driver handles 80 W AES at 8 Ω and works from 600 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
It is the Ti version of the CD-2514Fe family, which also comes with the PK and PT diaphragm variants; all three share the motor, the 3.5 kg weight and the 62.7 mm mounting depth. The titanium version is the obvious choice for PA duty, where mechanical robustness of the diaphragm and stable sound under continuous load matter more than the finest resolution. Use and enclosure
As the HF driver in a two-way PA cabinet, the CD-2514Fe/Ti works on a 1.4" horn that sets the coverage: narrower for long throw, wider for near-field applications.
