Celestion Truvox 0615: 6.5" mid-bass driver with 93 dB for compact PA and replacement use
The Celestion Truvox 0615 is a 6.5" mid-bass driver on a pressed-steel frame with a ferrite magnet, intended for small PA cabinets, monitors and as a drop-in replacement or upgrade in existing 6" systems. It handles 150 W AES (300 W programme), delivers 93 dB sensitivity at 8 Ω and covers 80 to 5,000 Hz. The cone is Kevlar-reinforced paper with a fabric-sealed double-roll surround, and the 1.5" voice coil of round copper wire sits on a polyimide former.
At 1.7 kg it is light – useful in columns, small arrays and anywhere several drivers share one cabinet. The FEA-optimised magnet assembly means, for a ferrite motor of this size, a consistent field across the 3.5 mm of Xmax. The parameters describe a driver whose focus is the midrange: Fs 89.6 Hz, Qts 0.472, Vas 7.44 l, Mms only 10.6 g with BL of 8.032 Tm.
