Celestion TSQ2145: 21" neodymium woofer with Fs 30 Hz and 1800 W AES
A 21" woofer with a resonance at 30 Hz and 1,662 cm² of cone area: the Celestion TSQ2145 is intended for subwoofers where depth at high level is the point. Neodymium motor, 4.5" round-wire copper voice coil on a glass-fibre former, 1800 W AES, 3600 W programme, 97 dB sensitivity, working band 30 to 1000 Hz.
The glass-fibre-reinforced cellulose cone weighs 435.2 g, is weatherproof-coated on both sides and hangs in a polysiloxane-laminated suspension with a triple-roll, cloth-sealed surround. The motor delivers BL 33.8 Tm at Re 5 Ω. Qts 0.344, Qms 8.393, Vas 253.8 l, Xmax 15 mm, Le 3.91 mH. The EBP of 84 sits in the zone where vented and sealed both work – for a 21" that means the driver wants a serious volume. Use and enclosure
Vented guideline: around 178 l tuned to 33 Hz with f3 about 35 Hz. That is a subwoofer that gets close to the 30 Hz limit without equalisation.
