18Sound HD3000T: 1.4" compression driver with 112 dB and 120 W AES
112 dB sensitivity and 120 W AES: the 18Sound HD3000T is the most powerful driver in the HD series. It combines a 3" titanium diaphragm with a 1.4" horn interface and a ferrite magnet designed for maximum flux density in the gap. The result is a treble section that is not the first to hit the limit in two-way tops and horn systems, even at high levels.
The frequency range starts at 800 Hz and reaches 20 kHz, the recommended crossover is 1.2 kHz. The impedance is 8 Ω. Despite the strong motor the mounting depth stays manageable at 68 mm, and the weight is 4.9 kg. Compared with the sibling of the same diaphragm size and lower usable limit, the HD3000T trades some low-end reach for more efficiency and power handling.
