Beyma 10MC500Nd: 10" neodymium midrange with 500 W AES, 8 mm Xmax and 3.1 kg
The 10MC500Nd is the neodymium version in Beyma's MC series: a 10" midrange with 500 W AES, 97 dB sensitivity, 2.5" voice coil and 8 Ω. The neodymium magnet brings the weight down to 3.1 kg and the mounting depth to 123.3 mm, which makes it attractive for flown systems and line-array elements where every kilo counts.
The excursion stands out: 8 mm Xmax with 350 cm² cone area gives a displacement volume of 280 cm³. That is unusually high for a midrange and allows the lower midrange to be carried down to the 60 Hz limit. The motor delivers BL 18.7 Tm at 45 g moving mass; the parameters Fs 58 Hz, Qts 0.24 and Vas 29 l show a tightly controlled driver that likes small boxes. The working range ends at 3,500 Hz.
Use and enclosure
As a vented guideline, 7.2 l at 88 Hz tuning gives a lower cutoff around 111 Hz; for a sealed midrange chamber, 3.8 l with an in-box resonance around 171 Hz. The EBP of 223 makes it clear: vented or high-passed, no deep bass from a sealed box. In practice that means the 10MC500Nd is a midrange for a 3-way system or the low-mid section of a top supported by a subwoofer. Work out the details with our enclosure calculator.
With an upper limit of 3,500 Hz, the high-frequency partner has to be able to take over low. That argues for a compression driver with a larger throat on a Beyma horn from the horns and waveguides category, not for a small tweeter. Cross the low end with margin above 60 Hz, in vented operation with a high-pass below the tuning frequency.

Which amplifier suits the 10MC500Nd?
Power handling is 500 W AES at 8 Ω. A power amplifier in that class with a limiter makes sense if you want to use the reserves. At 97 dB sensitivity, smaller amplifiers are no problem either, as long as the high-pass sits below the tuning frequency.
Which tweeter fits with a 3,500 Hz upper limit?
